January 20th: GETTING THE DESIRED RESULTS
How well we succeed or how quickly we fail in our interactions on the job or in our personal lives is a direct result of our contribution in relationships.
Relationships with clients and co-workers can sometimes be the very ones we wish would go better. When relationships are reciprocal and considerate, work feels rewarding. But when one or more relationships are strife with conflict, we and the organization suffer.
Consider this scenario:
Max finds difficulty in his relationships at home and at work. He’s on the defense. He pushes his perspective on everyone; having to be right serves him more than being at peace. He is impatient and hides behind his being right. Instead of seeking solutions, Max tends to engage in conflict. This cycle leaves him feeling stressed.
Like Max, we sometimes invite interactions or responses that are very different than what we say we want. This presentation to solving conflicts is easy to understand and clearly transforms the tension in daily lives into experiences of deeper connection and collaboration. In GETTING THE DESIRED RESULTS, you will engage in discussions and exercises that will help you understand and dissolve your challenges.
You will:
- Acquire and apply unexpected solutions to personal and professional challenges
- Increase effectiveness in leadership, teamwork and productivity,
- Experience balance, clarity, peace of mind and confidence about the future.
Our Speaker: NANCY SMYTH
Nancy sought and cultivated the experience and understanding of peace throughout her life and was delighted to read Arbinger’s book Leadership and Self-Deception in 2001. As she gained greater understanding about herself in relationship to others, she pursued an in-depth study of Arbinger's language and philosophy. Applying this wisdom, she and her clients experience freedom, joy and vast possibilities.
